in the garden…

Vinca and zinnia and salvia

Marigold, black-eyed Susan, salvia, wildflowers

And one of my favorites, Cleome. This flower always makes me think it couldn’t make up its mind what it wanted to be. It’s tall and thorny and has flowers and crazy seed pods sprouting in all directions. I love it.

And last, a houseplant. This is my first experience with a Venus fly-trap. So far, I haven’t seen it catch any flies but I’m hopeful.

Happy Paint Party Friday!!

  5. Oh Boy! Garden paintings! My favorite! ♥♥♥♥ (Don't you have to feed the fly trap hamburger? I seem to remember doing that when I was a kid.)

  10. I already had a look at your beautiful flowers this morning for breakfast and laughed out loud when I saw the last one because at the same time an ugly, fat fly was stalking me all the time and I immediately wanted to buy this plant. Please let me know as soon as your venus fly-trap is successful. I love all the other flowers so much!
