chair and plant
I was looking through an old sketchbook and came upon this drawing. I remember EXACTLY the day I drew/painted it. We were on vacation at St. Simon’s Island in Georgia. We had rented a condo for the week and this chair was in the living room.
I always love how looking at old sketches can bring back all the memories and feelings of the moment.

Love it! I only have standard pics to remind me of fun times. So after you sketch it, do you use watercolors for the color?
ReplyDeleteyes. i have a small travel-sized watercolor palette. it holds about 8 different colors. i usually ink the drawing in roughly then add color. sometimes when i get home, i make a more detailed drawing in a larger size.
ReplyDeleteGreat sketch - I totally agree that looking through old sketchbooks can be lots of fun (and bring back lots of memories)!
