at last … autumn
I was still wearing shorts and sandals until Thursday! It was an odd feeling to be wearing summer clothes yet seeing all the colors of fall around me.
But then the wind changed and started blowing from the north. Yesterday’s walk was an entirely different feeling. Golden reds and oranges of fall. Breezy day. And me, wrapped up like a mummy!
I don’t adapt to seasonal changes very well. I like when the changes are gradual. Not 80 degrees one day, 40 the next. My mind and body need to ease into it.

lovely fall piece, she looks warm! I am a shorts and sandals person myself, but it got cold in Toronto today too, freezing in fact.

ReplyDeleteSeasons.....? What are those? ;)
ReplyDeleteIt's great how your colors reflect the crazy mixture of the weather. Sometimes it's the same here in Germany and it causes awful headaches. Godd to know that I'm not the only one suffering from the freak weather.
ReplyDeleteWe had that CRAZY up & down weather in November as well. November 3rd, my husband & I painted my Mom's windows (outside). We scraped paint & he re-puttied the windows. Then we painted. We got SO HOT, we were sweating! Actually, we've had a MILD winter so far. Christmas Day was WARM too but rainy. (Today is Jan 1st, 2017)
