29 faces challenge
It’s the first of February. And that means it’s time for 29 Faces challenge!
For the past few years, I’ve participated in the challenge hosted by Ayala Art. It’s always fun to see all the different style of faces!
Last year, I did funky hats and pretty ladies. This year, I’ve been playing around with one-liners. It was one of our assignments in the Year of the Spark and it’s been very addictive!!
I pulled out some gelli prints … I had a pile of prints just waiting for SOMETHING to be drawn on them. I’ve decided to use the book I mentioned in my last post as my source for models. It’s full of black and white photos and is perfect for this challenge.
Here is face #1 … slightly resembling the silent movie star William Hart.
Only very slightly ☺
He came out very wonky and asymmetrical but I kind of like that.

This is a very cool line style and great use of white. I remember your great ladies in hats!
ReplyDeleteI love one-liners! Takes the pressure off and you get to enjoy the process as well as the funky results. Love Mr. Hart!
ReplyDeleteExcellent! I love the idea of the one liners.
ReplyDeleteI didnt know who William Hart was so I looked him up. You are right, I think there is a resemblance. I love the whole combination of this work, The one line, the gelli print background and the white face work perfectly together. I look forward to seeing your faces through out the month
ReplyDeleteI like - he's moody and handsome!
