…then it sort of grew from there.
I try to draw everyday. Usually I only have pockets of time. 10 minutes here or there.
Most days I don’t finish a drawing.
Some days I just doodle…nothing that will ever become a “finished” piece. You know?
This is a drawing that spanned about 5 days. It’s important to me to do drawings like this to take the stress off of CREATING something. Not everything will be a masterpiece!

ReplyDeleteI know what you mean. I haven't drawn for a while because I have this little nagging voice telling me it has to be a finished drawing, and another voice saying, "Yeah, but you don't have time." Gridlock! ;)
Don't listen to the nagging voice!! we all hear it. best to just ignore it :)

I love your "not-a-masterpiece". All the cute animals look so lovely how you have arranged them there. It looks like arriving at a very special party. These characters are so typical for a party ... the diva in the middle of them all, the shy gentlemen dog at the edge of the room ... the penguins telling jokes, the birds talking about gossip, the little beaver happy to attend his first party ... and of course the elephant ... in germany we say "like an elephant in a china shop" ... I think you say "like a bull in a china shop" and talking about the same character ... however I love your party :)
