Here’s what’s blooming in the gardens this week.
I have one bed that is just wildflowers. Some are perennials; some just reseed themselves and show up again. I’m always surprised what pops each year.
Some are weeds but I give them the benefit of the doubt for a little while. If they’re flowering weeds, sometimes they get to stay. Others are asked to leave (yank!)
Thanks for stopping by…have a great weekend…happy Paint Party Friday!

Oh you have created so many many wonderful illustrations within the last days. I quickly visited your blog every morning for breakfast but couldn't leave a coment because I had to hurry up for work. I am currently moving from one department to another and will start my new job on Tuesday and so I was terribly busy with handovers on so on. But looking at all your great and fresh summerpaintings and icad pictures was always such a relaxing break :) And I love these flowers!!!!
ReplyDeletethanks stefanie!! good luck with the new job :)

ReplyDeletethanks valerie!
DeleteI love your flower paintings! What watercolors do you use to get such amazingly vivid bright hues? Happy PPF
ReplyDeletethanks! most of the colors i like are American Journey brand. A few Da Vinci on the palette, too. I like to keep layering colors 4 or 5 times to get a nice vivid color.
DeleteReally pretty, vibrant water colors.

we do have lots of flowers here. my husband works at a nursery and tends to bring home new things to plant all the time. it's quite a hodge lodge garden but very colorful.
DeleteSue! Your gorgeous blooms make my heart happy!! I particularly enjoy the bits of white on your flower petals - It makes them look even more fresh! I try to do that but invariably get carried away with the paint. Your control of this messy medium is amazing!!
ReplyDeletethanks michelle! yes, leaving white as I paint was a hard lesson to learn!
DeleteYou made me smile. :) "Yank!"
ReplyDeleteGorgeous... this is such a happy piece!
