shiny treasure
In my grandpa’s defense, he didn’t mean to upset me.
He just thought everything looked better when it had a fresh coat of shiny, silver paint.

such a cute story!! That can of spray paint is so scary!! (at least in this story!) I love how you put the story right on the can. :)
ReplyDeleteOh no! I expect your Grandpa felt bad about that. Really like your paintings of your memories :)
ReplyDeleteI love this post! it's so cool. What a great story, and I love the watercolor pics too!
ReplyDeleteIt reminded me of something that happened when I was a kid. My next door neighbor told me that one of the Beatles hid a note to me somewhere on our street so she and I took off on our bikes hunting for it. Finally, she told me she lied! LOL. I was sure Paul McCartney wrote me a note and I was crushed to find out he didn't! I was about 12 and apparently very gullible! LOL
Have a great day!

I would have searched high and low for a note from Paul, too!!
DeleteLOVE your story - people (even family) don't see our treasures the way we do - Your grandpa was ahead of his time - he's bound to love how often people paint things silver now!
