painting BIG, thinking small
This was my latest assignment in Carla Sonheim’s Year of the Spark class.
It’s a BIG painting in that it measures 11x17. Thinking small refers to thinking/painting as your inner child.
I painted a picture of me. My birthday is in May. Every year on my birthday, I would get a new swimsuit for summer. We always called it my Birthday Suit!!
I still don’t know if I like acrylics. They never work the way I want them to. I think it’s the brushes I’m using.
Yeah, I’m going to blame the brushes!

Oh I love that pretty, cute, little girl! And I love the color gradient too! I know what you mean. Acrylics are always a challenge to me as well but I love the size you have choosen and the outcome looks really beautiful!
ReplyDeleteOf course it's the brushes! (birthday suit! LOL)
