ink faces
I don’t know what’s up lately but I just haven’t been spending much time in the studio.
I make a doodle. Meh. I throw it away.
I haven’t felt like painting. I don’t know what’s up.
Probably because I’ve been drawing lots for work. I’ve been drawing tons and tons of characters for an animation. Maybe that’s why I don’t feel like making art in the evening. Do you think?
I did these two faces yesterday while watching TV.
I do enjoy working with just ink. It’s so relaxing. I fix myself something to drink and start drawing. The next thing I know, an hour has gone by and my drink is now all watered down. That’s how absorbed I get when I’m drawing.
I’m going to enjoy some time outside. Today it’s finally cool enough to sit outside after dinner. I’ve missed that.

I love your little pen portraits! Sometimes when I just don't seem to be interested in art I figure I just need a little break. Hope your mojo is back soon!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE when that happens! Time flies by without even noticing! :D
ReplyDeleteTime flies when you're having fun - Love your doodlings :-)
ReplyDeleteI love your pretty faces :)
ReplyDeleteYes, it can be that you need a break, if you've been
doing a lot of art lately. Just relax and do what ever
you want to - creativity will pick you up whenever
you're ready :)
Have a beautiful day!

Your faces are amazing as always - I'm also very fascinated by your cross-hatched backgrounds - adds so much visual interest to your art!
ReplyDeleteWow, for me your ink-ladies look really breathtaking! I fell in love with both of them! Each shows such an individual character and both of them look so pretty! I can't imagine that your muse is gone ... however my muse is currently as well on vacation and I can't draw and paint too. I went to IKEA instead with a friend yesterday and bought some lovely deco items like colorful cushions etc. to make up some boring rooms. This is a lovely creative activity as well I assume ;)
