coneflowers, salvia and marigolds


While I’m waiting for the REAL flowers to bloom, I painted these from some silk flowers I keep around for reference.

    I always love my coneflowers - Gee, I hope they are coming up again this year! - and salvia is wonderful, but I never grow marigolds. HOWever, seeing how picturesque they are in this beautiful arrangement, perhaps this year I will change my tune....
    Yes, the colors are fantastic, and the way the cones of the coneflowers look like strawberries, and reflect the orange of the marigolds. I just love it all.
