face #4

Despite the way my one-liner turned out, this fellow was quite a looker! I guess I have a thing for wonky eyes!!

I decided to use a thicker pen width so the lines would show up better against the bold backgrounds. I think it helped.

It’s not too late to join the fun … 29 Faces challenge.

To give credit … I’m using this book for photo references. I found mine at a used bookstore for a buck. Worth every penny!

Oh, and I finally got my inchies for January scanned. Instead of drawing them calendar-style like I did last year, I decided to pick a theme each month. January was Patterns! Some are made up, some were from items on my desk or patterns on furniture…whatever was close by.

  1. Number 3 is very beautiful, romantic lady and number 4 is fond of her, but he is a little shy, he don't know how to go closer her.
    Great line work!

  3. That looks like such an excellent reference book! And funny enough, I didn't even really notice the eyes were wonky until I read what you wrote. It works! He seems like a fine, dapper, old-fashioned gent. (No surprise I guess, given the source!)

  7. Your ideas are really so inspiring! The faces look great! And I also love all your backgrounds! Inspired by you I recently tried my first one-liner on my notebook in the office while attending a meeting. It's really funny.
