some silly paintings

In my search for fine pieces of art to mimic in the series I call “my apologies to…”, I came across this photo and couldn’t resist.

Here is Carmen Miranda. She was a little before my time but I do remember seeing her in a few old movies.

Here is Kitty Miranda … just as pretty ... but not as famous as her sister ☺

And I have to thank Tracey Fletcher King for the inspiration behind this drawing. I saw this Dude on her blog a few weeks ago and just had to get one for myself.

On the package, it says “Fred” and “Mr. Tea.” I just call him Fred. I find myself saying “Good Morning Fred” to my tea every morning. Is this crazy or what?

Linking to Paint Party Friday … a great place to visit. It usually takes me all weekend to get through the blogs listed each week. Thanks to EVA and Kristen for keeping this going.

  7. So happy you have a Mr tea as well... and your painting is sooooo fabulous... Fred is an excellent name for him as yours is possibly smarter than mine...mine seems to be a bit thick and I do imagine him having a bit of a keanu Reeves type speech pattern from those Bill and Ted movies... as for the talking to your tea... all the best people do it,and I think it is totally normal... so maybe you should be worried lol! Love Kitty Miranda as well... xx

  8. Kitty Miranda is brilliant and I love your tea man. I remember seeing that on Tracey's blog and thinking I'd love one but do you need loose tea or could I squash a tea bag inside him?

  9. Kitty Miranda stole my heart immediately! I can't find the correct english expression to tell you how much I love her. And your new tea friend looks really very relaxed. I assume it's great to have somebody like him in the morning to talk to ;)
