This month’s fairy tale to illustrate for Carla Sonheim’s Year of the Fairy Tale is the Princess and the Pea.
Only instead of just drawing her, you have to paint her.
Using acrylic paint.
I’m a watercolor girl.
Not only is it acrylic. We painted using a credit card.
Brushes were allowed but only at the end to fine tune a few things.
Then we used a ballpoint pen to draw the princess.
I was way out of my comfort zone on this one. In a good way.
Wishing everyone a great weekend!! Linking to Paint Party Friday, too, which is a fun group. Please head over there and check out some great work.

That is a delightful painting - it's good to go out on a way out limb sometimes.
ReplyDeletePainting with a creadit card is really a challenge! You did such a great job with the little princess and all the colorful mattresses and the little pea ... enchanting to see how the little princess stands in front of the "tower-bed"!
ReplyDeleteYou did great! Would have never guessed you painted with a credit card. It's really sweet!
