painting on yupo

Part of our assignment this month at Year of the Fairy Tale was to practice painting on Yupo. I’ve tried this before … it’s not easy!

Yupo feels like plastic and the watercolor sort of “sits” on it for a long time before it dries.

The good thing is that you can “erase” back with a brush or cloth after it’s dry.

The bad thing is that it “erases” everything – even ink! So, you have to be very careful.

I love how juicy the paint looks on it.

Next, I’m going to try my hand at Yupo animals!
