dreaming of flowers

It’s that time of year.

When everything is brown outside (or white, depending on your weather), I start dreaming of all the flowers I’ll be seeing in a few months!!

I’ve been busy this week. Lots of doodling mostly. Just not a lot of scanning and/or photographing my work! It’s on my To Do list for the weekend.

Someone asked me a while back how I can work full-time and still have time to make art. Well, here are a few reasons:
  • I have a wonderful husband who does his share around the house. He cooks 3 nights a week, I cook 3 nights a week and we go out on Saturdays. So that gives me back a lot of time not spent in the kitchen.
  • I work at home so I don’t have a long commute. It takes less than 10 seconds to get from work to home. If I run, probably 2 seconds. But I don’t run in the house much!
  • I don’t have any kids at home. My daughter is 30 now, so it’s been a while since I’ve had to carpool, do homework, extra laundry, etc. Just the cats and the dog. But they don’t need a lot of one on one attention. Some. Just not a lot.

Happy Paint Party Friday!

  8. You forgot to mention you MAKE time for art!! Beautiful art I might add!! So many people even when they have time sabotage it with other things!! Sometimes you even have to shut out the world to get things done!! That's not a bad thing either!! Great post!!

  13. Your flower is bursting with life. It's great that your husband pitches in. My husband is something of a saint but he does sometimes complain if I leave paint splotched all over the kitchen. I am not very good at clearing up. Happy PPF
