i remember...
Yesterday’s drawing reminded me of this. Now that the mornings are colder, I wouldn’t mind standing by a furnace vent in the morning!! Where I live now, the vents are in the ceiling instead of on the floor.
The house where I grew up had 2 or 3 vents in the living room. But only one gave you a good view of the TV…and early morning cartoons!

I love your remember posts so much - makes me remember my childhood too! When I was about 10 we lived in an old house that had big cast iron grates in the floor. My two brothers and I each had a grate that we would claim when it was cold - it wasn't unusual for me to be found on the grate cuddled up in an afghan reading a book!
