I’m taking my grandson school shopping this weekend. It reminded me of a summer tradition when I was growing up. I always got new tennis shoes on my birthday in May. By the end of summer, they were pretty sad looking little shoes.
Which is surprising because I know we went barefoot a lot of the time. I must have just been really tough on shoes!

That's the story of kids and shoes! Love your drawings :)
ReplyDeleteI have fond memories of school shopping every year. Took the sting out of summer’s end. (I don’t remember wearing shoes in the summer either, but we must have!)
ReplyDeleteOh yes! That happens here. I have three boys but with shoes and pants, there is no passing them on to the next boy because they wear them out before they grow out of them, raskals.
