face #29

Another 29 Faces Challenge done! Oh, that was fun. Thank you to Martha for organizing this great challenge.

If you’ve followed me for a while, you’ll know I don’t normally post every day. But I must admit that posting daily has really pushed me in a good way.

I created more than normal. I found myself thinking about it through the day. What should I do tonight? I always had something to look forward to.

So now what?

I think I’ll keep going. Today my face is that of Chancey the Garden Gnome (anyone seen the movie “Being There”?? If so, you’ll recognize the name.)

Chauncey has been around our house for over 10 years. Last Sunday, I gave Chancey his annual fresh coat of paint. I always keep his hat red, but this year he is sporting a blue shirt and green pants. He likes a wardrobe change now and then.

I decided to draw/paint his face for the challenge. It gave me an idea for my next project…a Flower a Day for a whole month. I’m getting into Spring mode…so I think that will be a perfect challenge.

So, check in daily to see what I come up with. Until tomorrow…

  1. This is my favorite face yet! :)

  2. WHOO HOO! You did it! Can't wait to see a flower a day - that will be just the thing to welcome Spring!

  3. Oh yes, just keep going! I've enjoyed seeing your faces every day, and this one is no exception. He looks so cute and happy with his new clothes ;-)

  4. I like your Chauncey! (I was wondering what to do next too, but I’m not much for botanicals so I’ll have to keep thinking.)

  5. what a beautiful and funny gnome! Great!

  6. I agree, I also get that 'What's next' feeling when a daily challenge finishes but I also think its nice to have a rest from it at the end of the month! Giving yourself a personal challenge to paint a flower a day is a great way to keep motivated and I look forward to seeing them :)
Chancey looks like a very contented gnome (I havent seen the movie)but I am sure he will be happy with his change of wardrobe.

  7. I LOVE Chancey! He looks such a happy gnome. Congratulations on finishing all 29 faces. Have so enjoyed seeing them all.

  8. It went so fast! And i also find hard to stop... although blogging everyt day was more the challenge than the actual art lol
Thank you very much for being part of the challenge, I enjoyed ALL the faces! And I love your gnome ♥

Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment.
You just made my day!!
