rocky raccoon
I don’t take many walks in the evening in my neighborhood. Too many critters out there. I like animals. Don’t get me wrong. I just don’t want to be startled by one.
Most of the time we see opossums. Now that’s one ugly little critter. My dad used to tell me that if I saw one to just kick it a little and it would roll over and play dead. I’m not sticking my foot anywhere near one of those. Are you kidding me??
I have seen huge spiders come out and sit on the road at night. My husband says they come out to get the warmth from the asphalt. One more reason to not venture out at night. It gives me the heebie jeebies just thinking about it. I HATE spiders. Even the little ones.
We do have a neighborhood raccoon. He’s so cute. But I’m sure that if startled he would not hesitate to gnaw on my legs with his cute little raccoon teeth.
So in the evening, the critters can have the neighborhood. I’ll stay indoors. It’s getting near the time of year when I hibernate anyway.

I'm with you on the critters. They are all God's creatures, but they need to stay out of my corner of the world!
