sunday sketches :: grandma grace
I’ve been going through old family photos lately. Mostly trying to get them organized! But also looking for inspiration for drawings.
This is a drawing of my Grandma Grace. The original photo is below … in black and white … so I got to choose the colors myself!
As this photo was taken in the 50s, I decided to use a green paint (called Mint Julep) that I bought ages ago and never used! I think it sort of reflects the time period.
Posting this at Sunday Sketches. Be sure and stop by for a visit to see who else is participating!

Awww....adore your illustration of grandma Grace. SUPER sweet and love your style. :)
ReplyDeleteYour watercolor of Grandma Grace is precious. I have thought about doing this with some of the pictures of my way grown up children when they were wee ones. Yours turned out wonderful. It has put a smile on my face this rainy, dreary morning. Will the sun her really return? genie
