No, it’s not my birthday! I’ve just been working on some sketches with a family photo album feel to them.
When I was growing up, we didn’t take pictures very often. I have an album full of First Day of School, Christmas, Easter Sunday, and me with a Birthday Cake. Repeat this from age 1 through 18. There’s not much else in-between these occasions!
Very different to the way things are today! Although, I still don’t have many photos of myself, I do have about 500 photos of my pets!

ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely idea!! I do rather hate life since the invention of digital photos. All I have is thousands of unorganized photos all over my phone and computer. Bring back ye olden days, regular film and photo albums I say!

Great idea to make a series of photo album looking sketches. I remember very well those same photos my mom took of me and my siblings.

ReplyDeleteI love this idea and the little corner tabs are so nostaglic! I love photo albums although I admit since the advent of digital most of my photos are uploaded to my laptop, some make it into Facebook albums but none ever get printed out which is a shame as there's something wonderful about looking through an actual physical photo album that looking at them on a screen just doesn't replicate. I'll look forward to seeing more of these - just lovely!
