happy friday
I’ve been diligently working on some illustrations for my Joey story. I only have these two completed though.
As much as I want to complete this story and move on to my next idea, I keep getting side tracked on other ideas or projects.
I need to focus but just can’t seem to do it. On Wednesday, I got out my gelli plate and made a bunch of disasters (aka collage fodder).
Yesterday, I got two new pens that I’d ordered from Amazon so that put a screeching halt to my day. I had to stop and try them out. What else could I do?
Here are the last of the "inchie" sketches for 2015. These have become a habit now. It takes no time at all to draw something an inch tall!
Posting to Paint Party Friday…please stop by and have a look!
Wishing you a wonderful weekend.

I love the illustrations, but I couldn't find the Joey story when I clicked on the link. Did I miss something?
ReplyDeleteSorry...I should have clarified about that. It's not completed yet...the Joey Story. It's a work-in-progress and at the rate I'm going, it will be a while yet!!
DeleteWonderful illustrations, you are so talented. But yes, testing out new pens is a MUST. Happy PPF, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeletewow - LOVE your inchie sketches!! Your colorful illustration is super too. When a new supply arrives my way I too must stop and check it out:):) Happy PPF!
ReplyDeleteI love these illustrations! The colours are so bright. And those inchies are so cute :-)
ReplyDeleteOf course you had to stop everything and test the new 'toys'! It's the law....isn't it? Loving the illos!
ReplyDeleteI love that 'inchie' project and those illustrations. You are so talented but it can be maddening when life comes to distract from the real important stuff in life... like creating art. I've been going to do something for about two years now and still not really started! I'm determined that I am going to strive to complete it!
ReplyDeleteHappy PPF to you
your illustrations are awesome. One day I would love to learn about digital art but i cannot seem to find the right pen for my samsung galaxy tablet. got one from ebay and it did not work. one day- sigh.
ReplyDeleteLovely illustrations! So crisp and colorful!
ReplyDeleteAnd holy inchies! That is a lot of inchies. So cute! I think November is my fave.
Love your art! It is lovely to find someone who loves to draw and paint also. Nice to meet you from PPF. I am new to the blogging world and happy to find new art friends. I am happy to say I am a new follower. Dea xo
ReplyDeleteNice art!
ReplyDeleteOh wow sounds like me...start one thing off to another!! Love your inchies...do you use them as inspiration for your bigger pieces I wonder? Gorgeous illustrations for the book!! Sometimes a change is as good as a rest!!
ReplyDeleteHugs Giggles
The inchies are fabulous! I started that once upon a time, but didn't follow through. Maybe...No promises! :D
ReplyDeleteThe book illustrations are gorgeous. Hope you find the energy to finish up the project.
Happy New Year!
In not sure how I missed the posts about your novel but I've just read back and seen you've been working on it for five years. That's not so bad, I wrote one and started illustrating it in 1997 and it's still on my 'to do someday' pile!! Your illustrations are wonderful and the colors are so vibrant. I hope you do finish it. Those inches are adorable and great idea for sketching even a tiny thing every day.
ReplyDeleteI'm checking all your neat drawings on your older posts! Does that make me a stalker?? LOL
