I keep scraps of paper and old mail thinking that “someday” I’m going to make a collage. So….here’s what happened.
I took an old failed watercolor and covered it up with paper and ink stamps.
Now what to do….??

What a great outcome!
ReplyDeletethanks ann!
DeleteThis is an awesome collage! Can't wait to see how you decide to finish it!
ReplyDeleteLove all the black/white crosswords pieces on there too. I have never see those used and they look wonderful.
I had to do a collage for the first time in an online art class and we had to find an image within the entire collage! It was difficult for me! I kept looking and looking and just could find anything. Then for the third collage I finally got the hang of it and painted "Flora"!
Have fun with the rest of this collage! It is very exciting already!
i was curious and had to go take a look at Flora....she's lovely!
DeleteDon't ask me! I don't do much collage. I still can't imagine that you would have a "failed" watercolor! :)
ReplyDeletei laughed when i saw your reply!! i have boxes full of failed paintings!! future collage pieces :)
DeleteVery nice! Will you paint over it? It looks so pretty as is...
ReplyDeletethanks rita. i hope i don't mess it up...we'll see!
DeleteCool collage!
ReplyDeleteThe collage looks fantastic! Great idea! I keep those scraps too for some future projects I didn't start up to now. What about greeting cards? I would love it to receive either a copy of the collage as a greeting card or a partial section of the collage.
ReplyDeleteGreat way to use up your scraps! I love what you have done here. The colours and stamps work really well together. I will look forward to seeing what you do next. How lovely you are getting a new kitten Sue, I hope you post a picture. Its awful being without a 'fur baby' in the house, she will be a friend for you pup:)
