Well, here we go! 29 Faces in 28 Days. Can I keep up? I hope so.
Here’s number 1.
I’m trying something new. My scanner is giving me fits so I’ve decided to photograph my work for a while and see if I like it. So far so good.
pink house studio shared this light tent that she had purchased, so I bought one for myself.
When I scan, I spend quite some time retouching to try and get the colors to look right. I think the colors in my paintings are a pretty good match using this light tent. I’m all for saving myself some time!
Be sure to check out others who are participating in the challenge. Join us. It’s not too late!

Such a beautifully painted face. Love how you have incorporated the blue around his eyes to link with the jumper color.
ReplyDeleteI hope you can keep up as I adore this little one!

You are off to a good start, love this. Robin's idea with the light tent is really useful, I'm considering one myself.
ReplyDeleteLove your painting, looks beautiful! And THANK YOU for the tent tip! So handy, affordable and seems to be able to perform miracles with light! I need to get me one :)
ReplyDeleteThis is so sweet, what a beautiful expression.
ReplyDeleteI love this face! I joined the challenge again as well and hope to complete it this time around. My plan is to only do pencil sketches and photograph/upload from my phone to make it easiet.
ReplyDeleteHooray!!! I'm so glad you're doing this again!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the way you handle your watercolors :)

p.s. I've bookmarked your light tent link... It definitely sounds very useful!
So you got a light tent? Great little set up isn’t it? I LOVE your face, he’s adorable! (Don’t tell anyone but I’m doing the challenge too, but secretly. Shhhh.) Thanks for the shout out! :)
ReplyDeleteawe so sweet!!! love his little curious face
ReplyDeleteSweet watercolor! I just bought Photoshop Elements 11 tonight - I currently use PSE7 and needed the upgrade to hopefully edit my pictures more quickly. I take pics on the kitchen table in low light so they definitely need editing before posting. Can't wait to see all your work this month!
ReplyDeleteThis face reminds me somehow a little of Tamara's son! So cute, I like all the cool shadows ♥
