creative tuesdays :: lil’ monsters
The theme at Creative Tuesdays caught my eye!
I don’t have a Lil’ Monster in the house anymore – she’s all grown up now.
In my picture, I drew a Mama monster giving the evil eye to her lil’ one for pointing. I can relate to this.
What mother hasn’t been embarrassed once or twice by their lil’ monster? I could write a novel!

lunchroom friends
For Sunday Sketches, I did this painting of friends enjoying their lunch break. It really reminded me of my old work group! A mix of vegetarians and meat eaters – just joking and having fun!

waiting for inspiration
This is how it’s been lately!! Just waiting for my Muse to show up!
As a side note, I accidentally scanned the first image as Grayscale instead of Color and decided I liked it better than the colors I had painted!
So…I finished the other doodles in the same way and added a touch of blue to each drawing. I love happy accidents!!
If you have a few minutes, please head on over to Sunday Sketches. See you there!

bird’s-eye view
Of a bird’s nest!
Looking out my studio window, sits a mother robin. She has built her nest in the crook of the rainspout on my neighbor’s house.
She was my inspiration for this painting. Although, I had to paint my little birdie blue…just for a pop of color!

goodnight kiss
Just a quick drawing of a mother kissing her sleeping angel at bedtime.
Now that my baby is all grown up, I sure miss that. It’s just not the same kissing a cat goodnight! You come away with a mouth full of cat hair!

birthday party
No, it’s not my birthday! I’ve just been working on some sketches with a family photo album feel to them.
When I was growing up, we didn’t take pictures very often. I have an album full of First Day of School, Christmas, Easter Sunday, and me with a Birthday Cake. Repeat this from age 1 through 18. There’s not much else in-between these occasions!
Very different to the way things are today! Although, I still don’t have many photos of myself, I do have about 500 photos of my pets!

Well, we don’t have rain here today…but I’m hoping any day now! I love a good spring shower.
Here is a drawing of what COULD happen on a rainy day…with a little imagination!
