matchbooks
Today’s sketch…matchbooks. I quit smoking about 10 years ago but have two jars full of matchbooks. Most are from vacations, so they have sentimental value.
Every restaurant and bar used to have them readily available. Do they still do that? I don’t know because I’m never searching for a match anymore. Some are so colorful. Others just have a logo on them…an address…a phone number. But all have a memory attached.

Is it just me or has this not been the longest week ever? I'm so ready for a weekend. I hope to get some painting time in...I will make time for it!!

house with ferns
I did this drawing from a photograph I took last summer. This house is in downtown Rogers…I live in such a beautiful little town! I especially like this house for its large wrap-around porch and the ferns that hang all around it.
